CLARENVILLE, N.L. — The Drodge family held a very special reunion this past weekend, on Saturday, Aug. 4 — it was 44 years to the day from their first reunion.

In fact, with The Packet celebrating its 50th year in publication, the newspaper has featured the family reunion on four separate occasions over the years, in 1974, 1992, 2008 and 2018.

From the original reunion at which all 16 children (14 daughters and two sons) of the late Joseph and Jemima Drodge — originally from Little Heart’s Ease before moving to Clarenville — gathered to this past weekend, where family members came together including nieces, nephews and cousins as well.
