It is with great sadness that the family of the late STELLA M. MOORES of Rushoon announces her passing at her home in Rushoon on Friday, August 4th, 2017, at the age of 88. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are sons, Henry (Marg) of Rushoon, Brian (Viola) of Spanish Room, Angus of Rushoon, Clayton (Juanita) of Rushoon, Bruce (Leona) of Marystown; daughters, Patricia (James) Lundrigan of Rushoon, Linda (Sam) Brown of Rock Harbour, Lucy (Gerard) Stewart of Marystown, Maxine (Harvey) Hooper of Rock Harbour, Peggy (Bruce) Kenway of St. John’s; sisters, Violet (John) Murphy of Marystown and Philomena (Roger) Durnford of Creston South; sister-in-law, Eileen Murphy of Marystown; brother, Bernard (Marion) Murphy of Parkers Cove; 20 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; 2 step great-grandchildren; plus a large number of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her husband, Andrew Moores; parents, Frank & Sarah Murphy; brothers, James, Patrick & Robert Murphy; sisters, Alice Hickey & Katie Lundrigan. The Mass of Christian Burial took place from Christ the King Roman Catholic Church in Rushoon, on Monday, August 7th, at 2:00 p.m. Interment followed at Christ the King Roman Catholic Cemetery in Rushoon. In Stella’s memory donations may be made to Christ the King Cemetery Fund or flowers are gratefully accepted.
